Available Classes
Classes are organized by age and skill level. Mindful Mutts is proud to utilize the Association of Professional Dog Trainers new curriculum: C.L.A.S.S., Canine Life And Social Skills. C.LA.S.S is a four-level group class curricula for pet parents to test real-life skills with their canine companions. Each class has 6 lessons that are held on a rotational basis. This way you have more flexibility with scheduling each lesson.
Class Bundles
Puppy Bundle $300: 3 Private Lessons + Puppy Class - Up to $60 in Savings
Adolescent Bundle $340: Puppy Class + Basic Obedience Class - Up to $92 in Savings
Notice: There is a Cancellation/No Show Fee of $15 if you cancel the same day or do not show up for your scheduled lesson.
Puppy Class: High School
$175 for Full Program (6 Lessons)
For puppies aged 16 weeks to 6 months, this course is a great introduction into obedience and socialization. There are 6 total lessons with each being 1 hour in length. This program focuses on puppy socialization and obedience and includes the following:
Sit, Down, & Stand • Come & Collar Grab • Heel • Basic Stay • Confidence Building • Learning Their Name • Comfort Around Food Bowl to Prevent Resource Guarding • Meeting Strangers • Body Handling & Grooming for Vet/Groomer Visits • Addresses Common Puppy Behavioral Issues
This course meets the requirements of AKC’s STAR Puppy program.
Basic Obedience: Bachelors
$195 for Full Program (6 Lessons)
The beginner obedience class is for dogs aged 6 months and older. There are 6 total lessons with each lesson being 1 hour 30 minutes in length. This program focuses on basic obedience and manners. It includes the following:
Review of Sit, Down & Stand • Wait at the Door • Come & Leashing-Up Manners • Loose-Leash Walking & Attention • Meet & Greet • Leave It & Impulse Control • Wait for the Food Bowl • Stay • Settle • Give & Take
This course can be used as an AKC CGC & Therapy Dog prep course.
Our intermediate class requires either High School or Bachelors as a pre-requisite or an evaluation of skill level. There are 6 total lessons and each lesson is 1 hour 30 minutes long. This program focuses on proofing and adding onto previously learned skills:
Wait in the Car • Calmly Pass by Other Dogs • Wait at the Door with Distraction • Come & Leashing-Up Manners with Distraction • Proof Sit, Down & Stand • Body Handling • Loose-Leash Walking & Leave It • Stay with Distraction & Distance • Out of Sight, Out of Mind
This course can be used as an AKC CGC & Therapy Dog prep course.
Intermediate Obedience: Masters
$215 for Full Program (6 Lessons)
Advanced Obedience: PhD
$250 for Full Program (6 Lessons)
This advanced course requires the Masters as a prerequisite, or an evaluation of skill level. This 6 lesson course strengthens and improves upon the reliability of previously learned skills in different environments. Lessons are held in various pet friendly locations. It includes the following:
Advanced Loose-Leash Walking • Back Up • Advanced Stay • Advanced Come & Leashing-Up Manners • Meet & Greet with Body Handling • Attention During High Distraction • Table Manners • Do You Really Know Sit? • And More!
