Choose the right Program for You
Mindful Mutts offers group classes at Pet Supplies Plus in Macon, GA. Classes are organized by age and are offered for dogs 16 weeks and older who have completed their puppy vaccinations. Group classes are a great way to learn everything from basic to advanced obedience with the support of your peers. Each class in a series can be purchased as you attend them or at a discounted price if you register for the full course (6 group lessons). Do you have a puppy who is too young for group class? We have private lesson options specifically for puppies to give them a head start and help set them up for success when they're old enough to join a class.
Looking for more individualized instruction? Private lessons may be for you. These lessons are focused on your individual goals and are great for a variety of needs. In addition to teaching basic to advanced obedience, they can also address behavioral issues, work on pack/human dynamics in multi dog households, and tackle issues specific to your home. Another benefit of private lessons is the flexibility of our training location and scheduling. We can meet in home, in store, or any pet friendly location. In home private lessons are a great option for young puppies as they decrease the chance of illness exposure until their vaccination series' are complete, while also laying down an obedience and behavioral foundation at a crucial developmental period. The private lesson programs typically include 4-8 lessons.
Specialty Classes
These are stand alone classes that focus on specific issues like, potty training, leash walking (in the form of Pack Walks), trick training, CGC prep, and more! These classes are held periodically and may have prerequisites.
Board and Training
We currently offer limited 14-21 day On-Leash Programs. [Off-Leash Programs coming soon]. Board and Trains can be a great way to start your young dog off right, to achieve advanced obedience goals, or to address specific behavioral issues. Candidates for board and trains must have lived with the owner for at least 6 months. All Board and Trains include 2 turn over lessons where you are present to receive instruction on how to continue your dog's training at home as well as weekly virtual lessons while your dog stays with us. Updates and photos are sent daily throughout your dog's stay. These are accelerated programs that provide a convenient training option for pet parents. Please contact us for more information. Day Camps
Day Camps are a fantastic option to address a wide variety of training goals. During camp, your dog is dropped off with our trainer in the morning and spends the day (8+ Hours) developing a set of skills in line with your individual training goals. Like board and trains, it is a convenient option for pet parents, but involves the owner more in the training process. Depending on your training objectives, your dog will typically attend day camp 1-2 days per week for a total 4-8 camps. Please contact us for more information. Pricing and availability may vary.
